Marathon Petroleum Company LP (“MPC”) is revising certain elements of its Refining Contractor-Employee Background Security Check Program (the “Program”) in order to standardize Program requirements across MPC Refineries and expand contractor options to select a third-party background security check provider (“Background Check Provider”) of their choice. MPC is confident that, following inevitable challenges associated with any initial implementation period, these changes will make it easier for contractors to comply with the Program, while improving the overall safety of the work environment at MPC Refineries.
