DISA's new UK division, RSOH, has released their Spring 2014 Newsletter. This edition covers the DISA acquisition as well as articles on health surveillance and injury prevention.

DISA Broadens Operations in the Eagle Ford Shale Area -- Acquires Two Occupational Health Clinics from A-Dependable DISA Global Solutions (DISA) announced today that the company acquired two occupational health facilities from A-Dependable Drug Testing. Both facilities are located within the active Eagle Ford Shale, Western Gulf Basin, of South Texas, one in Kenedy and one in Pleasanton. A-Dependable is a well-established occupational health care provider based in Granbury, Texas, that will continue to operate out of its remaining facilities.

“Purchasing two facilities from A-Dependable will allow DISA to expand our coverage in the very active Eagle Ford Shale Play,” said Jeff Boyle, DISA President and CEO. “Adding DISA facilities in Kenedy and Pleasanton widens DISA’s South Texas presence, which will allow us to provide greater service to the large client base we have operating in the Western Gulf Basin,” added Mr. Boyle.

Both new DISA facilities will continue to provide a wide-range of occupational heath services. These include drug and alcohol collections, respirator fit testing, physicals, case management, and on-site services.

We are pleased to announce the acquisition of RS Occupational Health (RSOH), which took place on Monday, March 17th. This transaction marks a significant milestone in DISA's continued expansion into the global business market.

Based in Aberdeen, Scotland, RSOH has been one of the UK’s leading independent occupational health providers for over 10 years. The company has more than 50 employees and provides quality health care services to both private and public sector organizations. RSOH also offers advanced services and expertise to the oil and gas industry. The company is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified, making it well aligned with DISA’s commitment to quality and service excellence.

This acquisition includes the main facility in Aberdeen, as well as two regional locations in Great Yarmouth and Inverness. RSOH also has a wide UK network of dedicated physicians that provide quality occupational health care services.

RSOH’s occupational heath services include general employment, health surveillance, vocational, and statutory services. They also provide unique offshore services, including Topside Cover, which is remote health care provided by a specialized team of doctors. Topside Cover is one of the most comprehensive services of its kind available within the UK.

By blending our two specialized companies, DISA can now provide an unequalled level of coverage and scope of service to our clients in the busy North Sea region.
