Your DISAScreen account is accessed via single sign on (SSO) through the TriNet Portal/Platform. If you have any difficulty logging in, please contact TriNet.

Every TriNet client is set up with FCRA compliant and TriNet-approved packages. Please learn more about your available packages here. At this time, additional packages cannot be added. Packages changes will reviewed by TriNet and Global HR Research on a periodic basis.

Initially only one HR Authorizer from your company is added as a user to your company’s DISA account. Once your company credentials are verified by DISA and the DISA contract has been signed, you may add additional users via the TriNet Portal/Platform.

Upon initiating your first order, your account will be credentialed and then contracted. For your convenience, you may initiate orders while that process is underway, but they will be placed on hold until you’ve signed your contract. At that time, any orders you’ve placed will be released for processing. You can view your On Hold orders within your All Orders dashboard.

Navigate to the Orders Not Submitted section of your dashboard and open the order for your candidate. Locate the Actions button on the top right-hand side of the order and click the Resend Candidate Email link. The New York City Fair Chance Act is one of the most restrictive and complex local laws regulating when and how employers can use criminal history generally and perform criminal background checks on their job applicants and employees.

In addition to requiring that criminal history not be mentioned or obtained until AFTER a conditional offer of employment, the law contemplates that employers perform a criminal background check separate from all non-criminal information.

With a quick account update request, DISA can configure your ordering options to separate the packages into Non-Criminal and Criminal packages. This will allow you to order accordingly in compliance to the NYC Fair Chance Act. For more information on the Fair Chance Act requirements click here.

Requesting the account update is easy! Click here and fill out the Customer Support Form with your request. A member of our support team will assist you with the update.

Due to the NYC Fair Chance regulation orders will need to be managed through a manual order (a.k.a DISAScreen Standard Order) and not through Candidate Experience. You will be responsible for acquiring the proper Disclosure and Authorization for the corresponding package (Non-Criminal vs Criminal). Sample NYC Pre- and Post-Offer Disclosure and Authorization forms can be found in the “Sample Forms” section.

Currently, DISA does not support the Pre-Adverse & Adverse Action process pursuant to the NYC Fair Chance Act. This responsibility will remain with you as the hiring end user to initiate the proper letters in accordance with the FCA and your legal counsel.
