What is changing?
Signum operates now under the brand name of our American parent company DISA. However, our registered company name remains Signum Consulting GmbH.
Signum Consulting GmbH trading as DISA
All new e-mail addresses use the following structure: firstname.lastname@de.disa.com
The former Signum addresses will be forwarded for at least another 3 months. Each time a message is sent to an old Signum-address, the sender will get an automated reminder to change the address book entry.
The e-mails remain on our servers in the EU and will not be routed via US servers.
The strength of the new DISA brand lies in the significantly expanded service portfolio and a wider global reach. As DISA we offer more international options, modern automated solutions and alternative screening processes.
What remains the same?
We are trading as DISA but our registered company name is still SIGNUM Consulting GmbH with the registered office in Berlin.
Our contracts, confidentiality and data protection agreements and/or orders continue as agreed. All contracts, including service standards and price agreements, as well as our order processing agreements and the technical and organisational measures, remain binding & valid. Under EU-GDPR, our company is only bound by the client’s instructions in the legal documents. This means that the contracts remain unaffected by the new brand name DISA.
Invoicing will continue through our accounting department and the account details and the VAT number remains the same.
All data remains on the secure, ISO 27001-certified servers in Germany. Information and data are not routed via US servers. DISA-US has no access to our systems, customer information or personal data, now or in the future. Our commitment to secure data protection remains unchanged and we will adhere to the strict requirements of German and European data protection regulations.
The US parent company has no direct access to customers’ personal data. The data remains on servers within GDPR_Europe and is therefore subject to European law, as are SIGNUM and its managing director.
Should a US authority ever request data, it will be reviewed for legality and, if necessary, defended against in court. A request that violates German law may not and will not be complied with. We are not aware of any other case in which such a request has been made by US authorities to a European subsidiary.
Furthermore, we only store data for 90 days by default. In the purely theoretical event of an official request, providing information would be impossible due to a lack of data.
Neither the url/address nor the login data to the screening portal have changed. The portal-specific e-mail addresses are adapted according to the following structure: pes-123@de.disa.com
The portal to fulfil background checks remains unchanged outside of branding. It is still hosted in Germany and compliant with all European GDPR requirements.
Your responsible contact person or account manager remains the same.
Re-branding does not change the registered company name, i.e., contracts and agreements remain valid and effective. This also applies to guaranteed services and other arrangements.
Incoming invoices will continue to be sent to our company address in Berlin
Our website will change from the 1st of July 2025 to https://disa.com/de/en/. Visitors from German-speaking regions will be automatically forwarded to this address if you just enter disa.com. Our content will be still in German and English as it is now.
The new website is compliant with all European GDPR requirements.
Should you have any questions please contact us by phone ( +49 30 278 736 10 ) or e-mail ( info@de.disa.com).
We will happily arrange a Teams meeting to talk about the changes and any questions you might have.
