Expect background check delays for Nevada results
Nevada reported a widespread “network security incident” discovered on Sunday, prompting office closures, website and phone outages, and a staged recovery effort. This statewide cyber incident is disrupting access to multiple Nevada state systems. As a result, any background screening results that rely on Nevada data sources will be delayed. In-person services remain suspended at several state offices, and state leaders have since described the event as a ransomware attack.
