What methods do we use?
At DISA, we primarily use three different approaches when carrying out background checks.
This method involves the individual undergoing the background check submitting relevant documents digitally, such as identity documents, educational certificates or a driving licence. The documents are reviewed to ensure they meet the employer’s requirements.
This method involves obtaining relevant information from public company and government registers and, where applicable, through credit checks via established credit reference agencies. The checks may include information from company registries, tax authorities or supervisory bodies, as well as financial and payment history data, in accordance with applicable legislation.
Unlike register checks that require manual handling, these checks are carried out automatically through system integrations with selected registers. The automated process enables fast and efficient verification and results in shorter turnaround times. Turnaround times vary depending on the source, but checks against public registers can often be completed within approximately 48 hours.

A simple process
You register the prospective or existing employee for screening in our system and select a screening setup tailored to the role. DISA then manages the entire process. The results of the ID verification and other screening components are compiled into a final report, which is made available to both you and the candidate.
