The combination of background checks
In order to provide insight into behaviour that violates norms as an employer, DISA advises clients to have an integrity statement signed where possible and to combine it with a number of other checks. A self-declaration is a relatively inexpensive form of screening to manage risks. Eliminating fraud 100% is a utopia, but reducing risk is a big step in the right direction. Additional checks are possible and partly depend on the proportionality that suits the position. A VOG is increasingly obvious; This is used to investigate a person’s relevant criminal history. The integrity statement can be seen as an addition to this criminal background investigation.
The integrity statement consists of a standardised set of questions, which is signed and thus constitutes a legally valid document. Should an incident occur during the collaboration, you as a client can demonstrate that you have done everything you can to verify the relevant data before you start working with someone.
DISA's Integrity Statement
DISA has a standard integrity statement that is easy to use as part of the screening. If you have a specific integrity statement or code of conduct and would like to have it signed prior to employment, it can be digitised via DISA during the screening process.
Let DISA help you
DISA specialises in verifying personal data. We already support many companies with our automated screening solution. In addition to our standard screening components, we can also digitise and incorporate company-specific integrity statements or codes of conduct into the screening process.
