DISA Global Solutions continues to expand its geographic reach, expertise, and depth of services through strategic acquisitions. Effective December 3, 2018, DISA has acquired International Drug Detection, LLC (IDD). This transaction advances our mobile and onsite collection capabilities and bolsters our coverage along the Gulf Coast and throughout the Gulf of Mexico.

DISA Global Solutions hosted it’s very first ‘Day with DISA’ drug testing symposium on October 29th, which educated employers on the importance of staying up-to-date with ever changing marijuana laws across the states. Although marijuana is illegal on the federal level, several states have chosen to legalize either medical, recreational, or both.

A ‘Day with DISA’ was DISA Global Solution’s first marijuana symposium, which educated employers on the importance of implementing a drug testing program that’s custom to their companies’ needs. For the event, DISA invited a number of select industry experts to present sessions to further help employers with valuable drug testing insights.

One of those speakers was Richard Clay, Vice President of National Accounts at Psychemedics Corporation. Because Psychemedics is DISA’s preferred hair testing vendor partner, we asked Richard to present some of their real workplace data and breakdown positivity rates for marijuana both pre- and post-MRO review.

Effective November 1, 2018, DISA has acquired Advanced Workplace Strategies, Inc. (AWSI), an industry-leading employee and applicant screening company. This transaction further strengthens DISA’s market-leading position in the energy sector.

It’s imperative that employers remain up-to-date on marijuana changes as they could impact their company drug testing policies and procedures.
