If you’re looking to enhance your life insurance coverage, you have the option to enroll in a Supplemental Life Insurance plan. This allows you to increase your life insurance coverage, offering increments up to six times your annual salary or a maximum of $500,000. The premiums for this plan are calculated based on your age as of December 31st of the year when the benefits take effect. Keep in mind that opting for additional coverage might necessitate providing proof of good health.
Furthermore, DISA offers Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage, which offers financial assistance in case you encounter a serious or permanent injury due to an accident.
Additionally, it is essential to designate beneficiaries for your life insurance policy. Your primary beneficiary is the main recipient of the policy's payout in the event of your death, but it’s also recommended to designate a secondary recipient in case the primary beneficiary is unable to accept the benefits.
