DISA Global Solutions Policies

Fairness and Flexibility

At DISA, we recognize that a balanced work-life is crucial for the well-being and productivity of our employees. Our PTO & Work Hours policy is designed to provide clarity, fairness, and flexibility, ensuring that every team member is compensated fairly for their time and effort.

But it's more than just a set of guidelines—it's a reflection of our commitment to creating a supportive, fair, and flexible work environment. We believe that when our employees are taken care of, they can do their best work, and together, we can achieve greatness.

Time Off & Work Hours

1

Holiday Calendar

Mark your calendars! Check out our official holiday schedule to know the special days we observe and celebrate throughout the year.

2

Work Week & Hours of Work

Breaks: Everyone gets one! Length varies by role and location. Non-exempt employees must clock out/in. Don't work through it without manager approval.

3

Attendance and Punctuality

At DISA, we count on you to be present and on time; consistent attendance is critical for team success and career growth. Unexplained absences or tardiness may lead to disciplinary actions, while extended no-shows could be seen as job abandonment.

4

Personal Paid Time Off (PPTO)

At DISA, we value balance and flexibility. For eligible U.S.-based full-timers, accrue and use your PPTO to recharge.

5

Flexible Paid Time Off (FPTO) - Exempt Employees

DISA's FPTO is for full-time salaried U.S. employees, offering unlimited time off for personal and health reasons, trusting you to balance work and life.

6

Canada Vacation & Vacation Pay Policy

Starting January 2024, DISA Canada employees earn up to 8% vacation pay, with the rate based on tenure and pro-rated for partial years. Plan your vacation time within 12 months post-entitlement year and get managerial approval, as unused vacation can’t be carried over or monetized. If you leave DISA, you’ll be paid for accrued vacation time not taken.

7

Illness Policy

Let's keep DISA healthy! Wash your hands, stay home if you're sick, and know that we always have your back (and health) in mind.

8

Sick Paid Time Off (SPTO)

We know how essential it is to have some downtime, especially when you or a loved one isn't feeling up to par. If you're part of our U.S. team, you've got 40 hours of sick time coming your way, on top of your PPTO.

9

Medical Leave of Absence (LOA)

Effective January 1, 2024, DISA employees on medical leave may be eligible for disability benefits.

10

Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML)

DISA's PFML offers eligible U.S.-based employees up to 80 hours of paid leave for family and medical needs, ensuring balance in challenging times.

11

Parental Leave

At DISA, new parents get 1 week (40 hours) of paid Parental Leave for birth/adoption, and up to the same amount yearly for foster care placements. This isn't your usual PTO; ensure you use it appropriately.

12

Bereavement Leave

At DISA, during times of loss, our bereavement policy supports you with paid leave, varying from hours to days, based on your relationship to the departed.

14

Advanced Personal Paid Time Off (PPTO) Repayment Policy

DISA offers the option to advance Personal Paid Time Off (PPTO) to employees who request it, with the understanding that any unearned PPTO will be repaid if they leave the company, either through a deduction from the final paycheck or future commissions. Signing the authorization confirms agreement to these terms.

15

Emergency Events & Facility Closures

DISA provides guidelines for temporary facility closures and local emergencies, allowing remote work or emergency pay of up to 8 hours per day, capped at 40 hours per event. For long-term closures, employees might be transferred, work remotely, furloughed, or laid off. Contact HR for any questions.

16

Civic Responsibility Leave Policy

DISA encourages participation in civic duties, offering up to 80 hours of paid Civic Responsibility Leave for voting, jury duty, or court appearances as a witness within a rolling 12-month period. Be sure to notify your supervisor in advance and provide the necessary documentation.

One Team, One Future, One DISA

Together, we strive for excellence, united in our vision to be the best.
